Foot Reflexology is a healing art with it's origins in ancient India,China and other cultures. The feet are mini-maps of the entire body system, the body in microcosm.Foot Reflxology helps to condition, replenish and and de-stress the entire system.
In this blog I am going to describe a few points you can work on to provide some self-care options.I've attached some foot charts you can refer to,to learn the areas you would like to work on.
The first point is the solar plexus. It's a major relaxation point. You can find the solar plexus about 11/2 inches below the space between the big toe and second toe. It's that little indentation you can find there.I want you to take your thumb and direct it in and slighlty up into that space. You might have to give some firm pressure to hit the spot, but when you do you can feel a space open up inside of relaxation and ease.It might take a little practice and the point may feel a bit tender in the beginning, but when you find it you will know it.
The second point of interest is the liver. The liver has over 500 functions in the body,so it is a major player in our biological lives. The liver is located on the right foot in the upper mid-line area. You can use your thumb or other fingers to massage and press into this area to move "stuck" energy in that organ or to optimize the cleansing process during a liver cleanse.Working on this point also conditions the liver, so that it's function is optimized as well.
The last point is the pituitary gland. This point is located on both big toes, approximately in the middle area of those toes. The pituitary is the "master gland".It helps to regulate the hormonal system and metabolic functions. It's the "Big Daddy" of the other glandular systems. When you press on this point it will help you to receive energy or relaxation asto whatever your system needs at the moment. The pituitary provides the balance for the body.So all you do is take your thumb or pointing finger and give a very firm press into that point. You will feel a tenderness, and then below the tenderness you will feel a sense of or relaxation according to what you need for the moment.
These three points I have described are three of many areas you can venture upon as you study the charts to provide your bio-system with conditioning, relaxation and replenishment.
We in the eternal sense may not be our bodies, but in this earth life we are in them at the present for an average of 70-80 years,so we might as well take care of our "temples" and learn of ways to optimize their functions so that our spiritual expression is provided with the best vehicle we can have.Thank you nad peace.

hi there Bryn, On the mini map of the foot ( my right)
I found a spot ( ouch!) it is between the little toe and the one next to it below the toes and below that ridge on the foot that seems to connect with the toes. Any ideas?
We all did a mini foot massage on the call this morning
it was fun.
missed you

For those movie lovers out there, here is a good one. A lovely example of how love transcends everything else. The story is about a mother and son separated by economic necessity but held tightly together by their love. There are many challenges that come their way, but their love sustains them throughout illustrating the simple, basic truth that love is really the most important thing. Isn't that why we "love" our dogs so much? The mom says to the son, "when you miss me look at the moon because I am looking at it too... and then you will not be so sad." We are ALL under the same one....Go see it:)
Hey Bryn, this is good! Thanks so much for putting it up.
The charts are really clear and great. I have been working on the pituitary point and liver point! any thoughts on head aches? Are there any other points for head aches besides the big toes?
bless you,
MFH
