Last night - around 2 am, I was not sleeping so well. I got up and then and laid back in bed trying to get to sleep. In this half asleep/half awake state, I was focusing on my breathing and I had a very clear realization about "time" or, the lack of "time" . Very clearly I was aware, in a very real way, that there really is no time- no real tomorrow or yesterday, the only "real" time that exists is the eternal moment of Now. I've experienced this "knowing" before during periods of my life when I was meditating a lot, but it's so easy to forget. Our busy days in this world tend to take over.
Today , though I was suffering with a bad summer cold, I was quite peaceful and more patient than usual with the challenges that arose in the day. Thanks Melissa for posting that 080808 video link. It confirmed my feelings of comfort.
