Thanks to all for the wonderful abundance of blog posts. After our call on Saturday, I went to a concert, wonderfully abundant music on the theme "rhythms of nature." Amidst the music, I found myself looking at a crossroads in my life. I saw that I had the choice to open myself up with an innocent heart and treat this day as a new one, or I could hold myself closed in response to fears of possible disappointment (based on past experience). I realized that yes, I might feel disappointed and wrong, but I decided to choose openness anyway. The feeling of spaciousness and abundance in that decision was incredible.

Separate, but related, this poem came to me one day as I spent my meditation with the abundance affirmations. I think it came up around the "divine right to abundance."

"This is how a human being can change:
There was worm addicted to eating grape leaves
suddenly something wakes him
call it Grace, whatever, something
And he realizes he is no longer a worm
He is the entire vineyard, the grape, the leaves..
A growing wisdom and joy
that doesn't need to devour."
