On Thursday, September 21, people all over the world are joining together to
bring peace to our hearts and our planet through the prayer
May Peace Prevail on Earth.
This prayer for world peace carries a message of great hope and healing. It
transcends barriers of nationality, race and religion to unite humanity in a
call for the common good of all life on Earth. It is meant to be a day of
global cease-fire, when all countries and all people stop all hostilities
for the entire day.
A Moment of Silence
The International Day of Peace is an opportunity for all of humanity to take
a stand for peace on Earth. Let us all join in a Minute of Silence that will
circle the globe at 12 noon in each time zone, in silent prayer or
meditation for world peace.
