Hi all. I didn't make it to be on the Channeled Evening on Monday, but I tapped in for a bit while enjoying an evening with the kids & wanted to share a little of the experience.
I got home from work and felt really drained from the day. Alison went on a night out with some friends. The kids and I got some dinner then went outside & I got my second wind. THEN, Things started to pick up. What a beautiful, warm, early Spring, night! It's Spring Break, so the kids have been home -- spring cleaning, outside and in.
There were a couple of pine trees in the paddock that were dead but still standing. Well, sort of standing. They’ve been on my list to clear, for better access to the paddock and pasture as well as safety. One, leaning on another tree, would have come down a long time ago if not for it's supporting buddy. Another was also ready to fall during one of the next storms, both near fences. I got out the chain saw and cut them down, trimmed off the branches and moved the long cores over to the garden. One corner of the garden is downhill from the others - the trees now raising up the corner permitting a future leveling of the earth there.
All the branches and some of the larger trimmings from the stumps went into making a magnificent bonfire. We spent some time building a teepee of kindling and sticks, and then set it ablaze! It was a little later, sitting with the kids in a rare quiet moment, the fire waning and crackling that I noticed first the moon-rise, then the group energy, and finally remembered the call. I held the connection for a couple of beats, tossed in a blessing, then went back to the here-now with the kids. Knowing that the group is, and that the connection is there is reassuring -- a reminder of the Spirit Connection.
Thanks!
