So nice to see happy porcupine in the cards today! Seriousness is good, but sometimes it overwhelms the playfulness within. I am looking forward to a playful day.

It's been an odd day today, There have been moments...for example it took me close to 4 hours to make some changes on the site. I simply could not get the Url path to make sense...finally I put the new pages up, still not completely correct...I realized at a certain point, after Roxy came and pawed at my knee and Rah jumped on the keyboard twice....FINALLY Frosty came and shouted at me as only an annoyed Siamese Cat can....she got my attention and I realized that I was getting way too SERIOUS... "time to play" says Roxy, bringing me her ball.... Sometimes it is good to break up the energy.........these three may not be porcupines but they sure were carrying her totem today :)
AND OH BY THE WAY we have over a foot of snow to play in now!

I did go out and play in the snow! It was fun to be out side with the sun shining so bright. First I dragged a folding chair out to the back paddock to sit in the sun with the girls. Melody, butter cup, buffy and blue are all out together and were thrilled to have something new going on. These cold icy days with out grass and the ability to run around makes them a bit board. How fun it was for them to pull off hats and steal my gloves! The certainly exhibited the playful innocence of porcupine!
Later I trudged in the snow out to the boys paddock. The good news is that the extra 6 inches of snow that fell (unexpectedly) Friday made the footing pretty good so it was an easy walk. Max was so happy to come into the barn and get brushed and practice for halter that it was fun for both of us. He especially ( really really) enjoyed his apple treat!
Nice to be back in the warm house:) I hope you all had as much fun as I did today :)

Blessings in the light

...Isn't it true, that a small shift of perspective of what is really important in one's life can make the difference between "fun" or "work?"

So glad you took the opportunity to play in the snow with the animals. The picture of this made me smile:)

As I swept off a thick carpet of leaves from the patio and driveway - this is a daily occurance - I considered my husband's suggestion to get a leaf blower. But I realized I liked the motion of sweeping, to be outside with the wind in my face and the sound of squirrels chattering fiercely to drive me out of "their" yard. I could not have this with a blower. The "job" became fun!

Wishing all a "fun-filled" week....
